INCLUSIVE, MINDFUL, INQUISITIVEMORE ABOUT VICTORIA +
Background
Victoria’s worls has been about movement, for most of her adult life. She started teaching Yoga in 2012, in Cape Town, South Africa. With the dream of making Yoga more accessible she founded The Om Revolution, a mobile Yoga service. After moving to Melbourne, Australia, she founded I Am That – Studio, which quickly became Melbourne’s premiere address for inclusivity, quality and accessibility. Offering Yoga, Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates and Wellness, I Am That – Studio became a safe space for more than 700 people in over 70 classes, each week.
Now back in Vienna (there’s no place like home), Victoria built a community with similar values and offerings, bringing the quality of her extensive international background to the 2. District with Soma Co. Studio.
Strengths and Values
Mastering the art of holding space, is what sets Victoria’s classes apart. Whether in a Yoga, mat Pilates or Reformer class, every minute detail is offered with purpose. Ensuring every body that is present in the room feels seen, understood and supported is her #1 priority. She has taught more than 18,000 people in over 2500 classes and has dedicated her life and career to creating safe spaces for movement and wellbeing.
Training and Experience
Victoria has completed over 2500 hours of Yoga and Pilates training, ranging from asana practice and meditation, to biomechanics, clinical and contemporary pilates, injury prevention, pre and postnatal Yoga and Pilates, anatomy, and subtle body practices. Following various severe injuries she began her deep dive into functional anatomy and movement science. In 2021 she completed her Reformer Pilates and Mat Pilates training with Barre Body in Australia, after discovering the power in creating stability and recovery through movement. This paved the way for her focus on creating bio-mechanically sound movement in her classes and led to a commitment to clinical Pilates as a means for injury prevention and rehabilitation. Having a deep love and understanding of Pilates as a system to organise load, as well as a vast exposure to, and experience with movement rehabilitation, Victoria developed a Reformer Pilates Training that transcends the “classical” vs. “contemporary” Pilates discussion. Her classes are fun and challenging with an honest foundation of biomechanics and the Pilates method.
