Yay, how exciting! We are so glad you are here. At Soma Co. we strive to make all our classes inclusive and all-levels. This means that everyone – newbie or experienced, should feel comfortable in all our classes.
→ Wear stretchy, comfortable clothes you can move in. Don’t forget your compulsory grip socks! (Available for purchase at reception if needed)
→ Arrive nice and early (max 15 mins though) and tell the teacher if you are a newbie and share anything you need us to know (injuries, identity, requirements).
→ Avoid huge meals just before class (hello, reflux)
→ Make use of our (small) change rooms, toilet and shower facility if needed!
Pls, arrive on time.
Roll Call! Check in with your teacher before each class, so they can mark you as attending and give you a huge smile to welcome you!
Pregnancy, hip problems or just super tired, today? We want to make sure you’re comfortable so tell your teacher before class if there’s anything they need to know about your body. We respect your privacy.
Other than water and maybe a little towel, please leave all of your belongings in the change room. We don’t want to accidentally squash your iPhone (or trip over your gym bag) when we’re moving around the studio.
Try it all! We are super chill and everything is optional – but we do encourage you to challenge yourself! If it doesn’t work for you – rest. We are happy you tried, and you should be too – but most importantly: JUST HAVE FUN!
Congratulations! If you’ve been cleared to exercise by your doctor, you can absolutely join some classes. BUT!

Our highly skilled teachers fully understand the guidelines around exercise during pregnancy. We can always offer options and alternatives to accommodate your needs, but we are not health professionals.
Check out our Pregnancy + Pilates for more information on how we can support your pregnancy journey.
Not feeling 100%? If you are experiencing flu or cold symptoms before class, please stay home (don’t pass the cooties, pls, thank you!)
If you start to feel off during class, please rest. If it does not improve, please let the teacher know. It is ALWAYS OK to leave if you need to.
Everything we offer in class is a suggestion, not an order. Doesn’t work for you, your body, your mood? Feel free to skip it or change it as you need! No judgement here. In fact, we love to see you listen to your body! Go you.
There is no right or wrong here. It is recommended to move your body at least 3 times a week but ultimately, 3 classes is better than 2, 2 is better than 1 and 1 is better than zero, right? Do what you can, consistency is key!
