INCLUSIVE, MINDFUL, INQUISITIVE
Background
Victoria’s life has been about movement, for most of her adult life. She started teaching Yoga 11 years ago, in Cape Town, South Africa. With the dream of making Yoga more accessible she founded The Om Revolution, a mobile Yoga service that brought Yoga to the people with a team of 18 Yoga teachers all over South Africa. After moving to Melbourne, Australia, she founded I Am That – Studio, which quickly became Melbourne’s premiere address for inclusivity, quality and accessibility. Offering Yoga, Mat Pilates, Reformer and Wellness, I Am That – Studio offers a safe space for more than 700 in close to 70 classes, ever week.
Now back in Vienna (there’s no place like home), Victoria will be building a community with similar values and offerings, bringing the quality of her extensive international background to the 2. District with Soma Co. Studio.
Strengths and Values
Mastering the art of holding space, is what sets Victoria’s classes apart. Whether in a Yoga, mat Pilates of Reformer class, every minute detail is offered with purpose. Ensuring every body that is present in the room feels seen, understood and supported is her #1 passion. She has taught more than 15,000 people in over 2000 classes and has dedicated her life and career to creating safe spaces for movement and wellbeing.Â
Training and Experience
Victoria has completed over 2000 hours of Yoga training, ranging from asana practice, to meditation, philosophy, anatomy, and subtle body practices. After various severe injuries she began her deep dive into functional anatomy and movement science. In 2021 she completed her Reformer Pilates and Mat Pilates training with Barre Body in Australia, after discovering their power in creating stability and recovery through movement. In Pilates, her training is less classical, more contemporary, allowing for a wider range of application and accessibility. Combined with her background in Yoga, she offers a practice that feeds body, mind and soul.Â
